Once you have reviewed our website and think Alder Ridge Homes will be a good fit for your project, we would love to talk with you. Reach out to us via our website or give us a call and we will schedule a meeting with our team to discuss your project. Initial meetings include reviewing lot selection and budget for your project. We know budgets count, which is why we want to work with you to help create a home you love, within your resources. After reviewing budget and space needs, we can help you select a floor plan suitable to meet your needs.
During pre-construction, we design and build your home on paper. We tailor each floor plan to the homeowner’s needs and budget. Plan changes are made to accommodate your lifestyle and vision. A review of all the components and finishes for the home accompanies the plan design. These will comprise the project specifications used through construction in conjunction with the building plans. Each Alder Ridge Home is unique to you.
Once plans are complete and the project contract is signed, all finalized project information is submitted to the financial institution for review. If financing is not required, then an escrow account is established with a local title company. Plans are also concurrently submitted to the local jurisdiction for review and building permit approval. This often includes several jurisdictions and requires approximately 4-6 weeks for final permit to be ready. Once permits are ready and financing is secured, construction can begin!
To begin construction, the site is excavated and foundation forms are placed and inspected according to the site plans. Concrete is poured and cured followed by backfill of the foundation to prepare for framing.
One of the most exciting stages, the home takes shape as walls are framed and roof trusses set. Once framing is complete, the project manager meets with the homeowner to conduct an onsite walk through.
At this stage plumbing, HVAC, electrical and low voltage wiring and lines are installed in framed walls. Once complete, all framing and trade work is inspected by the local jurisdictions to verify code compliance. Insulation can then be installed and inspected.
Sheetrock is hung. Tape and texturing are completed. Suddenly the shape and space of the home is revealed.
Trim work and doors are installed throughout the home. Painters prep all woodwork and apply paint coatings. Cabinets are installed with countertops set. Tile showers, floors and backsplashes are installed. Hardwood flooring and carpet complete the home’s finishes.
Exterior driveways and walks are poured. Faucets and light fixtures are installed, and equipment set. Once all trade work is complete the project superintendent inspects for any touchups and corrections. The home is now complete and the project manager will conduct a new home orientation complete with a ribbon cutting and key turnover. Congrats on your new home!
